HIV/AIDS Awareness, Prevention, and Management
Tax-deductible donations have helped the widows and/or their children with funds for monthly transportation to and from nearby clinics for AIDS testing, treatment, management, and counseling.  On days they visit the clinic, the widows and children are given a small amount of cash to buy a nutritious meal.
Generous donations have paid for this and for trained professionals to provide HIV/AIDS, sex, and reproductive health education to the widows, teens, and children in group settings right in the village. Professional counseling and mutual support groups help the women overcome the cultural stigma of AIDS and encourage them to get diagnostic testing and treatment for themselves, for their children, and for the rest of their family and their friends.
